Copy, animate, export
Copy your artwork
In Figma, select the shapes you want to animate and copy them. A small selection is a good place to start.
Paste into Libre
Open Studio, choose New animation and paste with Command+V or Ctrl+V. If the selection does not paste correctly, use Copy as SVG in Figma and paste that instead.
Make it move
Select a layer and click the diamond beside a property such as Position. Move the playhead, then change the value to create the next keyframe. Press Space to preview.
Export your animation
Choose Export and check the Lottie preview. Download Lottie JSON or dotLottie, then test it in the player where you will use it.
What comes across from Figma
- This brings in supported vector artwork. Figma Smart Animate transitions and prototype interactions do not transfer; create the motion in Libre.
- For artwork that imports differently, try a smaller selection or convert it to vector paths first.
